Prophet Rolex Apologizes Over TMT Visa Scam Allegations, Says Ambassadorial Deal Ended in 2024
Food content creator and comedian, Anthony Chisom Odunze, popularly known as Prophet Rolex, has broken his silence after he was called out over his past endorsement of TMT Travels and Tours.
The travel company, owned by Ifeanyi Onukwubiri, is currently under investigation following allegations by Nigerians who claim they paid for visa processing services and did not get visas or refunds.
In a statement, Prophet Rolex apologized to victims of the alleged scam, saying he did not know the situation would escalate.
“Please, to all the victims of the TMT visa scam, forgive me. I had no idea the whole issue would turn out this way. However, since the matter is currently with security operatives, I’m sure you will get your money back,” he said.
He also clarified his working relationship with the company, stating that his ambassadorial contract ran from 2022 to 2024.
His reaction comes amid the ongoing controversy surrounding TMT Travels and Tours, which has reportedly triggered police investigation after multiple petitions from affected customers. The apology has generated mixed reactions online, with some users questioning his role in promoting the company, while others argued that being a brand ambassador does not make him liable for the company’s alleged actions.
