“I Will Be A Good Father” – VeryDarkMan Accompanies 18-Year-Old Scholarship Student to China for University Registration

Social media activist and critic, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has fulfilled his scholarship promise to 18-year-old Smartician.

The activist disclosed on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, via Instagram that he was travelling with the young scholar to China to complete his university registration and other necessary documentation.

According to him, as the sponsor of the scholarship, he felt it was important to be physically present to ensure the admission process goes smoothly.
“As the sponsor I have to take SMARTICIAN to China for his admission registration and other important documentation,” he wrote, adding humorously, “I WILL BE A GOOD FATHER from the way I take Dey do.”
Recall that VeryDarkMan had earlier announced a scholarship for Smartician to study abroad after the teenager gained attention online. Instead of just sending financial support, VDM decided to accompany him personally.

The gesture has sparked positive reactions online, with fans and colleagues praising him for going beyond financial assistance to provide fatherly guidance.
