Spyro Speaks On Wealth And Legacy: “I Don’t Support Leaving Money For My Children”
Nigerian singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has stirred reactions online after sharing his personal philosophy on parenting and inheritance.

The ‘Who’s Your Guy’ crooner said he does not believe in the idea of leaving large sums of money behind for his children after his death, because he cannot predict what they will do with it when he is gone.

Speaking about wealth, legacy and parenting, Spyro explained that he would rather equip his children with values, skills and direction to succeed on their own, than just hand over wealth that may not guarantee their future success.
“I’m not part of the school of thought of leaving money down for children at the end of the day because after I’m gone, I don’t know what you’re doing with it,” he said.
According to him, leaving money behind does not necessarily guarantee that children will remain successful or financially secure.

The singer’s comment has generated mixed reactions. While some Nigerians agreed that children should be taught how to create and manage wealth, others argued that parents should both train their children and still leave an inheritance for them.

Spyro also noted that his perspective comes from his personal journey, describing how he exhausted every option before turning back to God, and revealed he has spent up to N100 million on some songs and about N50 million on his most expensive music video.
