Chelsea’s New Owners Clearlake Capital Pledge Title Challenge
Clearlake Capital, now in full control of Chelsea Football Club, has vowed to compete for the biggest trophies in football.
The pledge comes after Clearlake Capital assumed 100% ownership of the club following the exit of former chairman Todd Boehly and Mark Walter.
In an official statement published on the club’s website on Thursday, the new ownership group thanked the departing partners for their contributions and said the club is entering a new chapter with “a shared sense of purpose, clear direction and confidence in what comes next.”
“Our ambition is clear: to compete at the highest level, to win major trophies, and to build sustained success,” the statement read.
The group also paid tribute to fans, describing Chelsea supporters as “the heart of this Club” and its “true custodians for over 120 years,” while stressing that “this will always be your Club.”
According to the statement, success on the pitch remains the top priority, with plans to challenge for the Premier League and other major honours, while also strengthening the club commercially to support sustained investment in the squad. The owners also reaffirmed commitment to the club’s long-term infrastructure plans.
“We will keep working to move Chelsea forward, together,” the statement concluded.
