$150 For Hair? Michelle Alozie Vows To Return To DIY After First Salon Visit In 10 Years

Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie has said she will go back to doing her own hair after she was charged $150 for her first professional salon visit in a decade.

The Houston Dash star revealed this in a post on social media, stating that she decided to treat herself to a salon appointment for the first time in 10 years, only to be shocked by the bill.
“I decided to get my hair done for the first time in 10 years, but I was charged $150. Now, I’d be doing it myself,” Alozie wrote.
Her comment has since sparked mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians debating whether $150 (about N230,000) is too much for a hairstyle in the US, while others praised her for being relatable despite being a US-based professional footballer.

Alozie, who was born in the US but represents Nigeria, is known for usually braiding her hair herself, a skill fans have often admired.
