2027: NDC Unveils Governorship Candidate in Plateau
Jos — The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has affirmed Alfred Dapal as its governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Plateau State.

The party also affirmed Mwadkon Dung Vincent as his running mate and deputy governorship candidate.

The affirmation took place at the NDC State Secretariat in Jos, where State Chairman Solomon Ndam, alongside party delegates and stakeholders, passed a vote of confidence in the duo to lead the party into the 2027 contest.

Presenting his blueprint, Dapal said his administration would prioritize the restoration of peace in the state, with education, economic development, employment, agriculture and infrastructure as key focus areas.

Represented by his deputy, Dapal stressed the need for a fundamental change in governance approach, noting that Plateau cannot make meaningful progress by relying on outdated methods to address emerging challenges.

In his remarks, Ndam said the party is fully prepared to secure victory in the 2027 governorship election, assuring that an NDC-led government would place the interest of Plateau State and its people at the centre of its administration. He added that with the affirmation concluded, the party is now ready to commence full campaigns to take over the state in 2027.
