Enzo Fernandez Reveals Why He Chose Manchester City Move
Former Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández has opened up on his decision to join Manchester City, saying he is eager for a fresh challenge and to help the Premier League champions sustain their trophy-winning run.

The Argentina international sealed a British-record £125m switch from Chelsea to City, making him the first player in football history to be transferred for more than £100m on two separate occasions.

Speaking after completing the move, the 25-year-old said City’s winning culture and star-studded squad were decisive factors.
“I could not be happier to be here, and I am ready for the challenge of helping City continue winning trophies. This is a club built for success,” Fernández said, as quoted by BBC Sport.
He added that he is looking forward to learning and improving alongside his new teammates.
“If you look across the squad, City have quality in every area. I want to learn from my new teammates and become a better player.”
The move will also see Fernández reunite with manager Enzo Maresca, who he previously worked under at Chelsea.

Fernández leaves Stamford Bridge after a difficult spell that saw him booed by a section of Chelsea supporters before his departure. Despite the turbulent ending, he said he remains grateful to the London club.
“Chelsea will always be in my heart,” he wrote in an open letter.
He, however, stressed that his full focus is now on City:
“I give absolutely everything and I can promise Manchester City that I will continue now I’m here.”
