Gombe 2027: Former PDP Treasurer Yayari Drums Support for Jamil Gwamna
Former National Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Ahmed Yayari, has pledged his full support for the governorship ambition of Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna ahead of the 2027 general election in Gombe State.

Yayari made the pledge in Gombe when he received a delegation of All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwarts from Tumfure, Wuro Bobbo, NTA and other communities in Akko Local Government Area who recently defected from the PDP.

The delegation had appealed to Yayari to join the APC, describing him as a valuable political asset whose experience as former Director-General of the campaign organisation of former Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo could strengthen the party ahead of 2027.

The group, which said they control 24 polling units in their respective areas, expressed optimism that Yayari’s defection and backing of Gwamna would significantly boost the APC’s chances in the governorship race.

Responding, Yayari declared his readiness to work for Gwamna’s victory.

“I am ready to work assiduously for the victory of Jamilu Gwamna as the next governor of Gombe State,” he said.
