Hull City Winger Sorba Thomas Unhurt After Car Crash
Hull City winger Sorba Thomas has escaped unhurt after being involved in a car accident near the club’s training ground on Friday morning.
The 27-year-old Wales international was driving on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham when his Land Rover overturned. Photos of the vehicle lying on its roof quickly circulated on social media, sparking concern among Hull supporters.
The club moved swiftly to reassure fans.
In a statement on Friday, Hull City said: “We’re relieved to confirm that Sorba Thomas is unharmed. The club is aware of images of Sorba’s car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed.”
No further details about the circumstances of the crash were disclosed by the club.
Thomas only recently joined the Tigers from Stoke City on transfer deadline day and has made two appearances since his move. He came off the bench in the 0-0 draw with Aston Villa and started the 1-0 Carabao Cup defeat at Sunderland.
Hull have made a strong start to their Premier League return, taking seven points from their first three games without conceding — beating Manchester United and Coventry City before the Villa draw.
The club is yet to confirm whether Thomas will be available for Saturday’s trip to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
