“Iyabo Ojo Is My Junior Sister” — Lizzy Anjorin’s Former Godmother Speaks On Friendship With Iyabo Ojo
Businesswoman Obanla Elizabeth, popularly known as Obanla Lizzy and former godmother to actress Lizzy Anjorin, has addressed critics questioning her relationship with Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, Obanla shared throwback photos from 2013 and 2014 to prove that her friendship with Iyabo Ojo spans over a decade.

According to her, the photos were meant to show that their bond existed long before the recent controversies surrounding them.

Responding to her critics, Obanla took a swipe at those she described as “emergency friends,” accusing them of only getting close to Iyabo Ojo for clout.

Clarifying the nature of their bond, she wrote: “Iyabo Ojo is my junior sister and she will remain till Christ come back, she will choose me over.”

Her post came after Iyabo Ojo was criticized for inviting Obanla Lizzy to her grandson’s birthday celebration, a move some social media users questioned due to Obanla’s past relationship with Lizzy Anjorin.
Iyabo Ojo, however, put the rumours to rest when she commented under Obanla’s post, writing: “We have come a long way, thank God for life 🙏 ❤️”, a comment many saw as confirmation that their friendship remains intact despite the controversy.
