Man City Complete Signing of Moroccan Teen Sensation Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille

Manchester City have announced the signing of highly-rated Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille on a five-year deal until 2031.

The 18-year-old joins the Premier League giants after a rapid rise in France, where he became Lille’s youngest-ever senior player after making his debut just days after his 16th birthday in 2023. He went on to make 96 appearances for the Ligue 1 side.

Bouaddi further enhanced his reputation at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, starting five of Morocco’s six matches as the Atlas Lions reached the quarter-finals.

His arrival is part of City’s midfield rebuild following the departures of Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Tijjani Reijnders. He becomes the club’s second major midfield addition this summer after England midfielder Elliot Anderson.

The Moroccan is expected to continue his development at the Etihad under manager Enzo Maresca.
