Mbah Presents Compendium of Over 10,000 Achievements
Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has unveiled a compendium documenting over 10,000 milestones achieved by his administration since assuming office on May 29, 2023.

The compendium, titled “A Thousand and One Reasons Why Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah Should be Re-elected as Governor of Enugu State,” was presented to the public on Tuesday at the International Conference Centre, Enugu.

According to the document, the administration has delivered over 1,521 kilometres of constructed and reconstructed roads, over 7,000 classrooms, 260 Type-2 Primary Healthcare Centres, Enugu Air, the New Enugu Smart City, as well as the revival of moribund state assets.

Governor Mbah, who was represented by his deputy, Ifeanyi Ossai, said the compendium is in line with the Citizens Charter (Executive Order 001), which he signed on his first day in office to entrench accountability, traceability and transparency in governance.

He explained that the publication is based on the principle of disruptive innovation and large-scale infrastructure development, but noted that it does not capture all projects executed up till September 9, 2026, due to the cut-off time for compilation.

“Our assignment today is not just to unveil the Citizens Charter via the compendium. It is a conversation on the sacrosanct duty and responsibility you gave to us to midwife and preside over your resources,” he said.

He thanked supporters who believed in his vision in 2023 and those who made sacrifices for his emergence, assuring that Enugu is on a path to becoming a $30 billion economy and a preferred destination for investment, business, tourism and living.

Earlier, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, said the administration has pursued extensive urban renewal through the New Enugu Smart City project, while also reforming the state’s fiscal architecture through revenue automation, reforms at the Enugu State Internal Revenue Service, Treasury Single Account, and Enterprise Resource Planning.

He added that the government has sustained investments in youth empowerment, women development, technology, skills acquisition, social protection and community development, stressing that “behind every project is a community; behind every policy is a citizen.”

In their goodwill messages, the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Ben Nwoye, and the Chairman of the Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers, Igwe Samuel Asadu, commended the administration, with Asadu stating that a performing government should be supported to continue till 2031.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Victor Udeh, described the compendium as an evidence-based publication and a commitment to accountability.

The event was attended by political leaders, traditional and religious leaders, captains of industry, professionals and other stakeholders.
