Nigerian Celebrities Would Have Covered It Up — Man Reacts To Poco Lee’s UK Arrest
A Nigerian social media user has stirred reactions online over the ongoing legal case involving popular dancer and entertainer, Poco Lee.

Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, is currently facing five sexual offence charges in the United Kingdom. The charges include two counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, and two counts of assault by penetration.

The case is before the Snaresbrook Crown Court in London, where he is scheduled to appear on September 15, 2026, for plea and trial preparation. The court confirmed the hearing date in correspondence with Nigerian media outlets. He reportedly remains on remand pending the hearing.

Reacting to the development, a man in a viral video argued that the case would have been handled differently if it had happened in Nigeria. According to him, Nigerian celebrities would have rallied around Poco Lee due to his popularity and strong ties in the entertainment industry.
“If Poco Lee had committed that offense in Nigeria, Nigerian celebrities would have found a way to sweep it under the rug. They wouldn’t focus on the r@pe because they believe he’s a good guy,” he said.
His statement has divided opinions online. While some users agreed that fame often shields celebrities from accountability in Nigeria, others argued that Nigerians on social media never hesitate to call out public figures, and warned against trial by public opinion.

The court has stated that Poco Lee remains innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
