Oloba Salo Calls Out Portable Over Career Choices and Zlatan Comments
Nigerian content creator and social media personality Oloba Salo has slammed controversial street-pop singer Portable, questioning his career growth and business decisions.

In a viral statement that has sparked reactions online, Salo accused Portable of wasting the big opportunities that have come his way in the music industry.

He also reacted to Portable’s recent jabs at fellow artiste Zlatan Ibile, defending Zlatan while criticizing Portable’s approach.

Salo said in part:
“You’re the only Nigerian artiste that have glory but failed. You’re shading Zlatan that will buy you and your generation. You’re the only person who opened a bar but doesn’t sell Hennessy. Skepta featured you but you’re booked for clubs.”
His remarks referenced Portable’s international collaboration with British rapper Skepta, as well as his bar business and ongoing rift with Zlatan.

The comment quickly gained traction on X (formerly Twitter), with users sharing mixed reactions. While some agreed that Portable has not fully capitalized on his fame and international features, others defended the singer, pointing to his recent performance at the Notting Hill Carnival in London and his continued bookings abroad.
