Poco Lee’s Management Breaks Silence on UK Sexual Assault Case, Denies Drink-Spiking Claims

The management of Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has broken its silence on his ongoing legal case in the United Kingdom.

In an official public notice dated August 25, 2026, and signed by Adedoyin Faleye on behalf of his management and legal team, the team confirmed that the matter is now before a UK court and is listed for plea and trial preparation at the Snaresbrook Crown Court on September 15, 2026.

According to the court admin team, Poco Lee is being charged with attempted rape, two counts of rape, and two counts of assault by penetration.

The management said it is aware of the public discussion surrounding the case and urged the public and media to allow the legal process to take its course, stressing that Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence.

“Allegations are not evidence of guilt, and no conclusions should be drawn until the matter has been heard and determined through the appropriate legal process,” the statement said.

The team also addressed widespread reports online, particularly claims of “drink-spiking,” dismissing them as unverified and not part of the case file before the court.

“We are particularly concerned by the volume of unverified narratives currently circulating, including claims referencing ‘drink spiking’, amongst other allegations which do not form part of any of the allegations or charges before the court,” the statement read.

“We ask the public and media to desist from introducing details that are not part of the actual case, as doing so only fuels misinformation and causes unfair prejudice to all parties involved,” it added.

Reports of Poco Lee’s arrest first emerged on August 19, after he was reportedly detained in the UK over a sexual assault allegation. The dancer, who rose to fame after featuring in Zlatan Ibile’s “Zanku (Legwork)” video in 2018, has since become one of Nigeria’s most prominent dancers.

His management said further updates will be communicated through official channels.
