Paul Okoye Breaks Silence After Peter’s Explosive Claims About Late Mother and Wife Lola
Rudeboy has reacted emotionally after his twin brother, Peter Okoye (Mr P), alleged that their late mother, Josephine Okoye, led a family meeting to force his wife, Lola Omotayo-Okoye, out of his life.
In a short post on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Friday, Paul shared a teary message, saying it is unfortunate that their mother is no longer alive to defend herself against the allegations. His post was accompanied by heartbreak emojis, reflecting his pain over the revelation.
The reaction comes a day after Peter released the 8th episode of his ongoing tell-all video series documenting the nearly decade-long rift between the Okoye brothers — Peter, Paul and their elder brother Jude Okoye — which led to the split of the iconic P-Square group.
In the videos shared on Instagram, Peter alleged that his twin brother Paul and elder brother Jude conspired to frustrate and oppress him.
According to Peter, their late mother Chioma Josephine Okoye, alongside brothers Jude, Paul, Tony and some pastors, confronted him and Lola at his Omole residence when his son was about 5-6 months old.
He claimed neither he nor Lola was offered a seat and both had to sit on the floor, after which their mother told Lola: “Young woman, we the Okoye family have decided that you should leave our son alone.”
Peter further alleged that:
• Jude picked up a photo of his infant son and made a derogatory remark in Igbo implying the child was a “bastard.” • Paul and Jude pressured Lola to terminate her pregnancy and circulated an anonymous email questioning the paternity of his unborn child. • He missed the birth of his son because Jude booked a show in Akwa Ibom on that same day despite knowing he wanted to be at the hospital.
Peter said their mother later realized the child was his, apologized to him, and asked Jude and Paul to also apologize, but they refused until her death. He added that Lola remained close to his mother till her passing in 2012, staying with her in the hospital for months.
Despite the challenges, Peter and Lola got married in November 2013 and have two children — Cameron and Aliona.
Paul’s response was brief: “Unfortunately, you’re not here to defend yourself. Continue resting, Mum.”
