“She Always Finds A Way To Make People Smile” – Ronke Oshodi Oke Hails Funke Akindele’s Hidden Kindness
Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi Oke has opened up on the lesser-known generous side of her colleague, Funke Akindele, praising her for quietly supporting people away from the spotlight.

Speaking during a recent podcast interview, a clip of which surfaced on Instagram on Thursday, August 27, 2026, Oshodi Oke described Akindele as someone who may be hard to reach on phone but never fails to show up when someone is in need.
“You might call Akindele and she will not answer, but when she hears that such a person has any problem, she will be there for the person,” she said.
Recounting her personal experience, Ronke revealed that Funke came through for her financially when she was ill, an act of kindness she said was significant enough to deserve public acknowledgement.

She clarified that her praise was not based on any past professional favour, noting that Akindele had shown her generosity even before her illness.

According to Oshodi Oke, the filmmaker does not publicize her good deeds. She alleged that Akindele has privately assisted people she barely knows, including those who reached out to her via Instagram, without making it social media content.

She also referenced the illness of late actor Ogogo, stating she believes Akindele would have quietly supported him during his trying time.
“No one will go to Funke Akindele’s house crying and would leave the place still crying,” Ronke added, stressing that Funke always finds a way to lift people’s spirits and make them smile.
The interview has since sparked reactions online, with many fans defending Akindele’s principled nature and celebrating her for finally getting her flowers.
