EPL: Brighton Seal £15m Move For Nigerian Winger Femi Azeez On Four-Year Deal
Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Nigerian international winger Femi Azeez from Championship club Millwall.
The Seagulls reached a full agreement with Millwall in a deal worth up to £15 million. According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the package is made up of an initial £12.5m fee plus over £2.5m in performance-related add-ons.
The 25-year-old has agreed to a four-year contract that will keep him at the Amex Stadium until June 2030, with Brighton holding an option to extend for an additional year.
Azeez arrives after an outstanding 2025/26 season with Millwall where he scored 11 goals and provided eight assists in 35 Championship appearances. His form earned him a place in both the Championship Team of the Year and the PFA Team of the Year.
His club form also earned him a call-up to the Super Eagles under coach Eric Chelle, where he scored twice on his debut against Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup and provided an assist in the final against Jamaica.
Brighton had previously seen two bids rejected before Millwall gave Azeez permission to undergo his medical on deadline day. Millwall had signed him from Reading for around £1m in 2024.
