Davido’s second babymama, Amanda, has stirred reactions online after sharing her take on the highly publicized Lindsay Clancy murder trial.

Amanda, who goes by @laplubelle on Instagram, posted a photo of Lindsay Clancy on her Instagram Story with a controversial theory about the case. She wrote:
“Yall think she did it? I think the husband k+lled the kids and tried to k+ll her too 😭”
Her post came shortly after Clancy’s trial ended in a mistrial on September 4, 2026, after jurors failed to reach a unanimous verdict. Lindsay Clancy is accused of strangling her three children in 2023 before attempting to take her own life. Her defence team argued postpartum psychosis, while prosecutors argued she was criminally responsible. Following the mistrial, she has not been acquitted or convicted, and prosecutors are expected to decide on a retrial.

Amanda’s comment quickly drew mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media, with many criticizing her opinion:
