Fulham In Talks To Hand Calvin Bassey New Long-Term Deal

Premier League side Fulham are set to secure the future of Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey with a new contract.

The 26-year-old centre-back currently has one year left on his current deal at Craven Cottage. The club, however, holds an option to extend his stay by an additional 12 months until the summer of 2028.

According to TEAMtalk, the Cottagers are now ready to go beyond the option clause and offer the Nigerian international a fresh long-term deal.

Bassey has become a key figure in Fulham’s defence since joining from Ajax in July 2023. He enjoyed a stellar 2024/25 season where he was voted the club’s Player of the Season, and has started all three of Fulham’s Premier League games so far this season.

The versatile defender has now made 105 appearances for Fulham in all competitions since his arrival.
