Falconets Coach Aduku Braces For Tough England Clash
Falconets head coach Moses Aduku says Nigeria should expect a difficult encounter against England in the Round of 16 of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.

The warning comes after Nigeria booked their place in the knockout stage with a dominant 10-1 victory over New Caledonia on Sunday.

The Falconets went into the final Group F game needing a win, after a 2-0 loss to Spain and a 0-0 draw with China. They delivered in style.

Ramotalahi Kareem opened the scoring from the penalty spot and went on to score a hat-trick. Substitute Winner Onajite David also netted three times as Nigeria ran riot. New Caledonia pulled one back through Joceline Kourevi, who scored their first goal of the tournament with a long-range effort.

Despite the big win, Aduku said his team must improve at the back.

He noted that while he is happy with the goals scored and achieving the target of reaching the last 16, the team has conceded too many goals in the tournament and will need to be more solid defensively.

Looking ahead to the quarter-final ticket, the coach said England will be a tough test, but his side is ready. According to him, to be champions, you have to win every game.

Nigeria will face England on Thursday at the Stadion Miejski Bielsko-Biała in Poland.

The Falconets remain one of the most consistent teams in the competition’s history. Nigeria, alongside Brazil and the USA, has featured in every edition since 2002. The team finished as runners-up in 2010 and 2014, and won bronze in 2012.
