“Upgrade Every Three Years, Not Every Year” — Governor Soludo’s Son, Ozonna, Faults Apple’s Yearly iPhone Releases
Ozonna Soludo, son of Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, has weighed in on Apple’s product strategy following the unveiling of the new iPhone 18.
In a post shared on social media, Ozonna questioned the need for Apple to release major iPhone upgrades annually, arguing that the yearly cycle is unnecessary.
He suggested that the tech giant should extend its upgrade timeline, noting that consumers would benefit more if significant upgrades were introduced every three years instead of every year.
“Apple phones should make their upgrades every three years, not every year,” he said.
His remark has since sparked mixed reactions online, coming at a time when tech enthusiasts are debating the relevance of Apple’s yearly launch model after the introduction of the iPhone 18 series.
The comment has drawn both support and criticism on X, with some users telling him to focus on governance issues in Anambra instead.
