Anambra Police Vows To Block Attempts To Free Mother Accused of Abusing 7-Year-Old Daughter
The Anambra State Police Command has warned against any attempt to secure the release of a woman arrested for allegedly sexually abusing her 7-year-old daughter and using the child to create adult content.
The position of the Command was made known by its Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga.
According to Ikenga, the police have observed comments on social media alleging that some individuals are pooling money to facilitate the suspect’s release from custody.
He assured the public that the Command will not allow any form of interference in the case.
“We saw comments that some people are contributing money to look for a way to secure the release of the Nigerian mother who sexually abused her 7-year-old daughter and used her to create adult content. But we assure Nigerians that under our watch, we won’t allow it to happen,” Ikenga said.
The statement comes amid public outrage over the incident. Many social media users have called for the suspect to remain in custody and demanded a full investigation into other persons allegedly involved in the production and distribution of the content, including suspected clients and enablers.
The police said investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
