Update Emerges on Anambra Mother Arrested Over Alleged Child Abuse

A fresh update has emerged regarding 36-year-old Anambra mother, Anulika Onyeanusia, who was arrested over alleged abuse involving her 7-year-old daughter.

According to reports circulating online, Onyeanusia is currently being held at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as investigations continue.

A source who claimed to have seen her in custody alleged that she has shown no remorse since her detention, stating: “We just saw her now. She’s currently in jail at the State CID. She’s not even remorseful. She’s definitely going to prison from here.”

It will be recalled that Onyeanusia was arrested by the Anambra State Police Command on September 10, 2026, after a disturbing video allegedly involving her minor child surfaced online.

Confirming the arrest, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed that four children aged two, three, six and nine were rescued during the operation, and relevant items were recovered for investigation.

The suspect was reported to have claimed that the videos being investigated were generated using Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
