Actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke Confirms She Collects Money To Support Politicians
Nollywood actress, Ronke Ojo, popularly known as Ronke Oshodi-Oke, has openly admitted that she accepts money to publicly identify with politicians.

The actress made the admission during an interview with African A-List which was uploaded to YouTube on Sunday, August 24, 2026.

When asked if she would take money to endorse a politician, Oshodi-Oke said she would, and pleaded with Nigerians not to attack her when they see her with political figures.

According to her, appearing with politicians is not about political ideology, but a means of survival.
“My dear Nigerians if you see me endorsing any politician, just look away don’t insult or drag me. I have gone to look for daily bread, please try to understand,” she said.
She added: “If you see me behind any politician, anybody, just see it as if she is looking for something to put food on the table. Just leave, let her eat. Do not insult or drag me.”

The actress however declined to speak extensively on Nigerian politics, describing it as “dirty” and stating that she does not tell people who to vote for.

In the same interview, Oshodi-Oke also spoke about her strained relationship with colleague Sotayo Gaga. She revealed that both of them have not spoken for about 5 to 6 years after a disagreement, and now ignore each other at events. She noted that despite the fallout, Sotayo sent her N150,000 when she was ill.

She further opened up on her health challenges, her past marriage, motherhood, and her decision to join the Celestial Church of Christ.
