Ardova Plc Renews Sponsorship of Nigeria Handball Premier League
Ardova Plc has reaffirmed its commitment to handball development in Nigeria by extending its title sponsorship of the country’s top handball competition for another year.
The Chairman of Ardova Plc, Dr. Sowami, said the decision was driven by the company’s confidence in the growth of Nigerian handball and its desire to create more opportunities for young athletes.
The renewal comes after the expiration of the initial three-year sponsorship deal between Ardova and the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN). The league will continue to be known as the Ardova Handball Premier League.
Managing Director of Ardova Plc, Dr. Babatunde-Ojo, noted that the partnership goes beyond business, describing it as an investment in the future of Nigerian sports. He said the league has provided a platform for athletes to compete, develop and showcase their talent, with the goal of building a professionally organized and highly competitive league capable of producing players for national and international success.
President of the Handball Federation of Nigeria, Jibril Saidu Ojih, lauded the company for the renewal, calling it a strong vote of confidence in Nigerian handball and in the potential of local athletes and the domestic league. He added that the continued support will help the federation improve the organisation, standard, visibility and competitiveness of the league.
The Ardova Handball Premier League remains a key platform for talent discovery, featuring top clubs in both the men’s and women’s categories, and serving as a pathway for players to the national teams.
