CS Sfaxien Arrive Nigeria Ahead of Shooting Stars CAF Confederation Cup Tie

Tunisian giants CS Sfaxien have landed in Nigeria ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round first-leg clash against Shooting Stars.

The North African side left Tunis on Tuesday and arrived in Nigeria in the early hours of Wednesday to intensify preparations for the encounter.

The Oluyole Warriors will host the visitors at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta on Saturday, as both teams battle for a crucial advantage going into the second leg in Tunisia on September 13.

Shooting Stars head into the continental fixture with confidence after kicking off their 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season with a 2-1 win over Inter Lagos last Friday. The result gave coach Salisu Yusuf a winning start to the new campaign.

CS Sfaxien are also coming into the tie in good form, having defeated Esperance Zarzis 2-1 in their last Tunisian Ligue 1 match.

The winner of the two-legged tie will progress to the next round of the competition.
