Former Spurs Star Yves Bissouma Completes Move to Ajax
Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma has sealed a move to Dutch giants Ajax, signing a short-term deal until the end of the current season.

The 30-year-old Mali international joined as a free agent after his release by Tottenham in June. According to BBC Sport, the contract also includes an option to extend for a further 12 months.

Ajax technical director Jordi Cruyff revealed the club had been tracking the defensive midfielder since August.
“We have brought in an experienced player who knows what it takes to perform at the highest level. He is capable of playing in several positions, and we hope he will be available for selection as soon as possible,” Cruyff said.
Bissouma joined Tottenham from Brighton in 2022 and went on to make 111 appearances for the North London side.

His final year at Spurs was difficult. In August 2025, then-manager Thomas Frank dropped him from the squad for the UEFA Super Cup clash against Paris Saint-Germain over persistent lateness. He managed just 11 Premier League appearances last season as Spurs finished 17th for a second straight campaign.

The move to Amsterdam now offers Bissouma a fresh start and the chance to return to regular first-team football in the Eredivisie.
