Chelsea academy talent Landon Emenalo has completed a season-long loan move to Scottish champions Celtic for the 2026/27 season.

The 18-year-old, who is the son of former Super Eagles defender and former Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo, will spend the campaign in Scotland to gain senior first-team experience.

A versatile player comfortable in both defence and midfield, Emenalo was part of Chelsea’s senior squad for their pre-season tour of Asia and Australia.

Chelsea confirmed the deal in a statement on Thursday, noting that the move will give the youngster valuable top-flight experience.

“Landon will gain valuable top-flight experience in Scotland,” the club said, while wishing him good luck during his spell at Parkhead.

Emenalo joined Chelsea’s Academy at the age of seven and has risen through the ranks. He was a regular starter for the Under-21s last season, helping the Blues top the Premier League 2 table, and also played a key role as the Under-18s won the national championship after beating Manchester City in the final at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues say they will continue to monitor his development in Glasgow.
