NBBF/Zenith Bank Women’s Premier League Second Phase Begins Today in Port Harcourt and Zaria
The second phase of the 2026 Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) / Zenith Bank Women’s Premier League will tip off today, Saturday.

Games will be played simultaneously at two venues — the Basketball Stadium, Niger Street, Port Harcourt for the Atlantic Conference and the Indoor Hall, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for the Savannah Conference.

In the Atlantic Conference, two-time champions MFM Women’s Basketball Team head into Port Harcourt as the team to beat after winning all their games in the first phase in Lagos. They will open their campaign against IGP Queens, who finished bottom of the conference without a win in Lagos.

Other opening day fixtures will see Victoria Queens face First Deep Water, defending champions Dolphins take on First Bank, while Bayelsa Blue Whales battle Royal Aces.

Defending champions Dolphins will need to step up to retain their title and avoid relegation, with IGP Queens also fighting to escape the drop.

In the Savannah Conference, Titans will take on Kada Angels, who missed the first phase in Jos, while fellow absentees NAM Warriors face ASO SKY Queens. Air Warriors will play Nasarawa Amazons, and Nigeria Customs will square off against Plateau Rocks in the final game of the day.

At the end of the second phase, the top four teams from each conference will advance to the Final 8 in Lagos, where the 2026 champion will be decided.
