Onuachu Could Face Fresh Striker Rivalry as Trabzonspor Push for Richarlison
Paul Onuachu may have to fight for his place at Trabzonspor as the Turkish club steps up its pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison.

According to reports, Richarlison has already agreed personal terms with Trabzonspor and is keen on a switch to Turkey. However, Tottenham are yet to approve the deal, having turned down two separate offers from the Black Sea outfit.

The Brazilian is said to be pushing for the move, identifying Trabzonspor as his preferred destination, while Spurs and Trabzonspor continue negotiations over a transfer fee before the Turkish window shuts.

If completed, the deal would add another big-name striker to Trabzonspor’s attack, where Super Eagles star Onuachu is already a key figure.

The club’s vice-president, Zeyyat Kafkas, had previously stated the intention to keep the core of the squad intact, including Onuachu, unless a significant offer arrives.

Onuachu is coming off an impressive 2025/26 season, where he played a crucial role in helping Trabzonspor lift the Turkish Cup and stood out as one of their main attacking threats.

For now, the move is still pending, but if Richarlison lands in Trabzon, Onuachu will face high-profile competition for a starting spot.
