Victor Boniface Sparks Concern After Emotional Post, Clears Instagram
Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface, has caused worry among fans after deleting all posts from his Instagram account and sharing an emotional message on his Instagram Story.

The 25-year-old’s action comes just days after he was left out of Bayer Leverkusen’s UEFA Europa League squad over fitness concerns.

Boniface did not give any reason for wiping his page, and it is still unclear if his emotional post is linked to his current situation at the German club.

In the post, the striker reflected on his life’s struggles and thanked God for standing by him.

“Dear God, I have no idea what’s happening in my life right now, but I just want to say thank you for being with me in my highs and my lows. My life hasn’t always been easy, but one thing I know: You have never left my side. You are my everything,” he wrote.

The message triggered a wave of support from fans, with many flooding his comment section to encourage him and remind him of how far he has come, including overcoming multiple serious knee injuries and surgeries.

One fan, @r6elitemanagement, called him a fighter and said his journey has inspired many young footballers, while another fan, @Chima.henry, said he needs prayers and encouragement to overcome this phase.

Boniface is currently working his way back to full fitness. Leverkusen coach, Carles Martinez, had earlier explained that the striker was not fully fit at the time the Europa League squad list was submitted, although his knee has improved significantly.

As of now, Boniface has not clarified the meaning behind his post.
