New Seraph Church Targets 500,000 Worshippers for NODE 8.0, Urges Nigerians to Shun Vote-Buying
The New Seraph Evangelical Ministries Worldwide has said it is expecting over 500,000 worshippers at the 8th edition of its annual Night of Divine Experience (NODE 8.0), while also urging Nigerians to reject vote-buying and get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
The church’s founder and Iya Aladura General, Dr. Oluwaseye Yomi-Sholoye, disclosed this while addressing journalists ahead of the 3-day programme.
According to her, NODE 8.0, themed “Supernatural Breakthrough” and inspired by Micah 2:12–13, will hold from August 12 to 14, 2026 at The New Seraph Prayer City, Ode Remo, Ogun State. The conference is expected to draw worshippers from across Nigeria and the diaspora for prayers, worship, Bible teaching and intercession for the nation.
Dr. Yomi-Sholoye said the ministry has put in place elaborate logistics for the event, including over 350 BRT buses across Lagos and thousands of interstate buses to convey participants free of charge, as well as live streaming across its digital platforms.
Speaking on the state of the nation, the cleric said Nigeria’s economic, security and social challenges require both spiritual intervention and civic responsibility.
She commended Federal Government efforts to strengthen the nation’s security architecture but stressed that nation-building needs citizens’ cooperation. She urged Nigerians to remain law-abiding, pray for the country, and actively participate in governance by registering and collecting their PVCs.
She warned voters against selling their votes for short-term financial gain.
“The future of our nation must never be compromised for temporary gain,” she said, while calling on politicians to run issue-based campaigns anchored on accountability and vision. “The season of empty promises is over. Show us your works. Be instruments of breakthrough”.
On safety, she said the ministry is working with the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to provide surveillance, crowd control and emergency response, with trained personnel and controlled access points across the venue.
Ministers expected at the event include Bishop S.T.V. Adegbite, Prophet Israel Oladele Genesis, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, Pastor E.D. Alalade, Prophet Muyiwa Akogun, Prophet Emmanuel Ayodele, Prophet Sam Adebayo Authority and Prophet Toyin Dabiri, among others. The programme will feature prayer sessions, seminars for men, women and youth, worship, Bible quiz, healing and deliverance and prophetic ministrations.
