Rudeboy Breaks Silence On P-Square Feud, Calls For Privacy and Respect
Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has issued an official statement addressing the ongoing feud with his twin brother Peter Okoye (Mr P) and their older brother Jude Okoye.
In a statement released on August 6, 2026, by his management, Fire Department Inc., Rudeboy acknowledged public interest in the dispute but maintained that family issues should be handled with “dignity, respect, and responsibility”.
He stated that he would not be drawn into an exchange of allegations that distracts from his music and his fans.
“We understand the public interest, we believe that personal and family matters are best handled with dignity, respect, and responsibility. We will not be drawn into an exchange of allegations or commentary that distracts from the work, the fans, and the music,” the statement read in part.
The management added that Rudeboy remains focused on his craft and grateful for fan support for his recent single “Blessed & Alive” featuring Sarkodie, and appealed to the public and media to avoid speculation and rely on verified information.
The statement comes amid a fresh escalation of the decade-long P-Square rift. The latest drama began after Mr P made comments about his kids not speaking Igbo, which was followed by Rudeboy posting a video celebrating his Igbo heritage — a move many interpreted as a dig.
This led Mr P to release a 7-part video series detailing allegations that his brothers bullied and frustrated him out of the group and misappropriated funds, while the family dispute has also resulted in litigation, including an EFCC case involving Jude.
