Man United, Aston Villa Eye Last 16 as Carabao Cup Fourth-Round Draw Holds Tonight
The draw for the fourth round of the Carabao Cup will be held on Wednesday night, with 11 clubs already through and five places still up for grabs.

The draw will be conducted shortly after Manchester United’s third-round tie against Brighton at Old Trafford. Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp and former Aston Villa captain Ashley Young will draw the balls, with Pien Meulensteen as host.

Six teams had earlier booked their spots in the last 16 – Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Sunderland, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Bradford City.

They were joined on Tuesday by five more clubs. Arsenal thrashed Ipswich Town 4-2 away, Liverpool beat Tottenham 3-1, Fulham edged West Ham 3-2, Brentford saw off Reading 2-1, and League One side Peterborough United advanced on penalties after a 3-3 thriller against Barnsley.

Four more third-round fixtures will be decided on Wednesday:
• Everton vs Wolves • Fleetwood Town vs Sheffield United • Coventry City vs Aston Villa • Manchester United vs Brighton
The final third-round tie comes up on Thursday, with defending champions Manchester City hosting Norwich City.

Because of that, the winner of the Man City vs Norwich game will be represented by a placeholder ball in tonight’s draw, with the full 16-team line-up only completed on Thursday night.

Fourth-round matches are scheduled for the week commencing October 26.
