Military Nabs Two Suspected Terrorist Logistics Suppliers in Yobe
Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have arrested two suspected logistics suppliers for Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in Yobe State.

The suspects were intercepted at Gumsa Bridge in Geidam Local Government Area following credible human intelligence on the movement of terrorist supplies.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Acting Military Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) OPHK, Captain Mohammed Goni, troops of the 159 Battalion under Sector 2, in conjunction with other security elements, swiftly mobilised a fighting patrol to intercept the consignment.

Items recovered from the suspects include large quantities of motorcycle spare parts such as tyres, crankshafts, oil seals, traffic indicators, acceleration and clutch cables, bearings, brake components, gaskets, piston kits, chains and sprockets, speedometers, clutch plates, rocker arms, CDI units, coils, rectifiers, fuel-related components and other parts.

Also recovered were 145 pairs of footwear and two Tecno Android phones.

Captain Goni said the suspects and the recovered items have been handed over to the 27 Military Intelligence Regiment for further investigation.

He noted that the successful operation is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist logistics networks and deny them critical supplies needed to sustain their activities, while urging members of the public to continue providing credible and timely information to security agencies.
