Nigeria Men’s Volleyball Team Intensify Preparations for African Championship

Nigeria’s senior men’s volleyball team have stepped up preparations for the 2026 African Men’s Volleyball Championship following their qualification for the tournament in Tunis, Tunisia.

The continental showpiece is scheduled to hold in Tunis from September 13 to 27, where Nigeria will compete against Africa’s top volleyball nations for continental honours.

The Nigerian team secured a historic qualification for the prestigious championship, with captain Abdulquadri Jaiyeola playing a key role in the qualification campaign.

With just days to the main event, the team has now intensified training in Abuja as they aim to make a strong statement in what will be a highly competitive tournament.

The championship is expected to be a tough test for Nigeria as they come up against some of the best volleyball teams on the continent.
