UPDATE: Air Peace Flight Departs After Two Passengers Accept 50% Discount to Resolve Seat Dispute
An Air Peace flight that was delayed due to a seat dispute has finally departed after two passengers volunteered to leave the aircraft.

According to reports, the drama started when a female passenger refused to disembark despite being told the flight was fully booked. She insisted she had a valid ticket and claimed another passenger was sitting on her seat.

To resolve the standoff, Air Peace officials appealed to passengers to volunteer for the next available flight in exchange for a 50% discount on a future trip. Initially, no one accepted the offer.

The impasse was later resolved after two passengers agreed to take the discount offer and leave the aircraft, allowing the woman at the center of the dispute to remain on board. The flight was then able to proceed to its destination.

The incident has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many Nigerians questioning the airline’s overbooking and why passengers with valid tickets had to negotiate for seats.
